The BJP, VHP and the RSS leaders are demanding for Ram Temple day in and day out. They have protested in Delhi. Some of them are making statements. Leaders like Subramaniam Swamy are also after the courts to give the verdict on the disputed land at the earliest. Now the court has decided that it will take up the Ayodhya issue from January 4.
Most of them think and say that the BJP rakes up the temple issue just before the elections and then forgets about it. It was supposed to start the temple in this month but due to court cases, nothing happened so far.
Some leaders thought about an ordinance to build the Ram Temple, but after losing three states to the Congress, the NDA government may not do this at this juncture. But Prashant Kishor the poll strategist and politician is of a different opinion. He says that Narendra Modi the PM is still the popular leader and that there is nothing to bother about. He is of the opinion that the BJP will come to power in the next elections.
Some poll surveys have also indicated that the BJP will come to power and the majority might come down. Prashant clarified that even without Ram Temple the NDA will form the Government and Modi can do that in 2019.
That could be the reason the BJP is keeping quiet for the time being on the Ram Temple construction. The VHP and the RSS are agitated and they want the construction to begin at the earliest.
