Director Puri Jagannath who was earlier noted as ‘sure hit’ director is not having any hits these days except for Temper. Temper story was given by Vakkantham Vamsi. At presen the director is in a big slump as none of his movies have done well at the box office.
The director delivered back to back hits in past and now waiting for a big break. His recent movie Ism with Kalyan Ram was a big flop. Films with Journlalism back drop done by Puri failed miserably. Now Puri had changed his complete mind set and working very hard to get rid of failure.
He wanted to do movies with Mahesh ,NTR and Venkatesh, but could not convince them.
One of the reasons is that all his assistants like Parasuram,Harish Shankar established as directors and there is no good helping hand for poori.
Until Pokiri movie Puri used to write scripts himself with the help of Parashuram and all went fine by that time. But later Puri used to follow the scripts given by his assistants which put him in bad light. Heroes and producers are demanding Puri to come with his own writing and they are not accepting his tantrums and demand for huge payments like 10 Crore for a movie.
After looking at the market trends, now Puri want to go on his own. Perhaps he might look at Raviteja or Nithin and go ahead with his movies under his own home banner. People say earlier he was influenced by Charmi with whom he made Jyothilaxmi movie. Later he kept her at a distance.
Some times he is spending a day or two with RGV his guru and they indulge in drinking for a long time late into the nights. Even RGV has lost his Midas touch.
