When a pilgrim Sadasivudu from Warangal sought EO to consider cash payments instead of UPI for rural devotees, the EO replied to him TTD has introduced UPI payments for more transparency. “Even the Government of India is also encouraging cashless transactions”, he answered.
Another pilgrim caller from Dubai Haribabu suggested EO to enhance vigil as many prohibited items like cigarette packets, pan parag were seen in toilets at Tirumala during his last visit.
The EO said, we will definitely enhance the vigil. But it is also the duty of every devotee of Srivaru to adhere to TTD norms. To protect the sanctity of Tirumala TTD has formulated certain norms which include the Do’s and Don’ts, carrying of certain prohibited items etc. Devotees also should extend their co-operation”, he maintained.
Smt Rajeswari from Proddutur sought EO to issue Divya Darshan tokens at Galigopuram to which EO replied it is not possible as that might result in a stampede due to the convergence of large number of devotees.
