The suffering for cash continues. The trouble for change remains. How long this continues we do not know.

Finance Minister says it will be resolved by this month end. You have to face the music for another 30 days.

People who gathered outside banks and ATMs to withdraw their salaries, but only a few returned with cash. As the day progressed, there were no queues outside many banks as they had run out of cash.

“What is the use of money being in my bank account when I need to spend half a day trying to withdraw it? India is not a cashless economy yet,” said Ragahav, an IT Professional. He said he has to apply for leave for with -drawing the money.

No cash on hand

Many banks ran out of money by noon. An ICICI ATM in the Abids area ran dry within five hours. But many of them got the Rs 10000 arranged by the RBI in cash as first instalment of the salary in Telangana and AP states.

The State Bank of Hyderabad in the Liberty area had money till 2 p.m., but they had distributed tokens to a limited number of people and had told the rest to return.

An SBI bank official said there had been a 15-20 per cent increase in rush for withdrawals over the past two days and deposits had gone down over the past week.

People who lined up outside Oriental bank of commerce at Ashoknagar in Hyderabad seemed to lose their temper easily. When elderly people sat down, tired after standing for long, they were scoffed at by the others in the queue. Outside some banks, policemen were seen trying to pacify people.

No cash on hand

“I have been waiting in this queue for over 90 minutes. I had to take a day off to withdraw money as there is no cash at home,” said Narsimhulu driver from Public health department near Upparapally.

People have been running from pillar to post for money and also small change. They are going to the Banks on regular basis.

Lets hope the issue will be resolved by the this month end.
