NIA raids in Hyderabad

While Home Minister Ameet Shah is scheduled to visit Hyderabad this evening the National Investigation Agency (NIA) today conducted raids at four places in Hyderabad and 25 places in Tamil Nadu in connection with the Coimbatore car bomb blast case.

The Coimbatore car bomb blast happened in October 2022 which has suspected ISIS links.

Early in the morning, four teams of NIA conducted raids at the residences of individuals with suspected connection with the car blast case and collected details.

The NIA found alleged links with persons residing in Malakpet and Tolichowki with the car bomb blast case. They also have suspected links with ISIS module involved in the Tamil Nadu car bomb case.

NIA also suspects that alleged persons in Hyderabad are trying to get in touch with ISIS through social media.Earlier also the NIA raided some houses in Tolichowki for the followers of ISIS,

The local police were informed before raiding the houses in Hyderabad. The IB has alerted the Telangana police and also the NIA on the sleeper cells that were operating from the old city and other outskirts of Hyderabad and RR district.
