There could be a new Chairman for the TTD board it is reported. The present chairman has done two terms and he may not get another term, including some members also who have done two terms. The board under Krishnamurthy has not done anything extraordinary and it remains the same.
Running around from pillar to post is the order of the day and money still rules the TTD. If you can spend money darshan is not issue. The pilgrims from Telangana and the recommendations of the VIPs from TS are taken very easily.
TTD Trust Board Chairman Chadalawada Krishna Murthy, who is completing his term at the end of this month, is said to be unlikely to get extension. The Trust Board under his chairmanship will be meeting for the last time on April 25 at Tirumala.
Chadalawada, a former MLA, was also seriously injured along with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in Maoists blast, on their way to Tirumala shrine. At that time he was Tirupati MLA. But since then he was denied party seat to contest as MLA.
The state government constituted the 15-member trust board, including the chairman, on April 27, 2015. Initially, the term of the board was one year but it was extended for another year in April 2016. The tenure will come to an end this month.
Lets hope the CM will appoint a dynamic person who can walk around Tirumala unlike the age old people. For knowing and finding out the pilgrims issues, it requires some leg work for the Chairman and also the members.
One day goes for taking a room and getting the darshan, the other day you may get a darshan. This should go. The online process must guarantee the rooms first and the darshan next.
