In tune with the way Panchayat Raj Act is being prepared to strengthen the Panchayat Raj, Municipal Act should also be made to offer corrupt free and effective governance to the people for their overall development and welfare opined the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
KCR suggested the officials prepare an effective action plan for the new Panchayat Raj Act. If we work with commitment, in the villages we have work on par with the municipalities he said.
Officials and public representatives should bear this in mind. Do not leave work here and try to concentrate somewhere. There is a responsibility on us from providing basic infrastructure facilities in the educational institutions, providing a clean environment in the villages to other development works pertaining to the basic sector he suggested.
We have to understand that we have to provide improvised governance to the people in municipalities, which are fast developing on a day-to-day basis. Hence, prepare the Municipal Act perfectly involving both the officials and public representatives he stated.
KCR said that to bring in a qualitative change in the development of villages and towns, it is important to implement the Panchayat Raj and Municipal Acts to the last letter and spirit. To ensure good governance to the people, these Acts should be made as effective implementation and people friendly.
