New Insurance and Transport rules?

With effect from 1st April 2022, as per the direction of court, Insurance companies and the Transport department will implement the following:

1. Passengers travelling by auto, exceeding the permitted numbers will not be covered under insurance.
2. The above conditions apply to two-wheeler travellers as well
3. Riding two-wheelers without helmets will not covered under insurance.
4. If an accident happens due to driving vehicle on the wrong side, those driving on the wrong side will not get any compensation and no case will be filed against those who drove the vehile on the right (correct) side and met with an accident with wrong side vehicles.
5. Drunken drivers will not be covered under insurance and no compensation for any loss.
6. If an accident happens due to driving on wrong side, sum of Rs upto 20 lakhs will be recovered from him or thru his assets to the injured. If unable to pay imprisonment up to 14 years.
7. The above punishment is applicable for those who make accidents talking over mobile.
8. Driving licence will be cancelled for Those trying to influence the above cases.
9. Officers responsible for not initiating action in the above cases will be suspended from service for a period of three years without any benefit from the employer.
10. The above rules are applicable to fast driving vehicles that exceeded speed limits.
11. No compensation for those driving without wearing a seat belt.
