The supreme court has suggested that a board has to be constituted to govern the Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple for taking care of the pilgrims and the other day to day affairs of the temple.
A new law has to be enacted for the governance of the Temple the court opined. The new law has to be in front of the court by January the court directed.
The new law could be on the lines of the world-famous Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanama (TTD) board. On the other hand, there is no clarity on the part of women entry into the Temple.
Yesterday a girl aged about 12 years old was prevented by the police and Temple authorities from entering the temple. While the state government is for implementation of the court order for allowing the women.
The Temple authorities are against allowing the teenaged girls and women into the Temple. It has to be seen how things would take a turn after the formation of the Temple board with members.
