Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu today opined that the farmers need more support and help from the Governments. He complimented the Telangana Government for helping out the farming community in various forms.
Venkaiah was talking at the agriculture University where he launched a seminar for the farming community. He said that just extending some financial help is not going to help them in the long run.
The farmers are the backbone of the country and also the economy he stated. That is the reason they must get more help from the respective Governments he said.
He said that they must get technical help and also advice from the environmental side and also on the crop pattern from time to time. The respective Governments must give them inputs om as to what they have to cultivate and what is in demand in the respective states apart from the exports.
He complimented the organisers and also the Agricultural university for taking up the issues of the farming community from time to time.
