After the fierce encounter in Malkangiri district of Odisha in which 27 Maoists along with several of its top leaders were killed by joint team of Andhra Pradesh Greyhound and the state police, the Left Wing extremists are in a revenge mode.
It has come to light that the Maoists have done a Recce for 6 times at AP Bhavan in New Delhi. They want to kill Chandrababu Babu in the garb of Media as the LTTEE did earlier to Rajiv Gandhi the late Prime Minister.
The AP Police have requestioned New Delhi to look into the securit of Chandra Babu. He is already guarded by Black Cat teams round the clock .
After this latest threat to his life, the security might be increased and beefed up for Babu further it is reported.
The CPI (Maoist) earlier issued a threat and pledge to target Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his son N. Lokesh following the encounter on the AP-Orissa border.
In a press release signed by CPI (Maoist), AP State committee official spokesperson Shyam said Naidu escaped the attempt on his life at Alipiri at Tirumala in October 2003, but he would not be able to escape this time. “If necessary, we will use a suicide bomber to attack Babu. No police or military force can save you this time,” the release said.
N Chandrababu Naidu had survived a bomb attack by Naxals in October , 2003, at Alipiri near Tirupati. He had a miraculous escape with minor injuries while three more members who were sitting in the convey were injured and rushed to hospital.
Shyam also stated that Maoist turned gangster Nayeem who was recently killed by the Telangana police near Hyderabad was also groomed to kill Chandrababu Naidu.
