I am here to share my thoughts on Nationalism, patriotism said Pranab Mukherjee here at the RSS convention. There is Hindu influence across South Asia and also mentioned about Buddhism. He talked about Takhasila, Nalanda and other things.

Indian Nationalism evolved into Vasudyka Kutambam and praying for the good health of all he said. Hatred leads to dilution of Nationalism he pointed out. Intolerance dilutes idea of Nationalism he stated. Nationalism emerged from Universalism he said.

We derive strength from tolerance Pranab explained. many cultural faiths make our India special he said.
Nation first religion next he opined. The fusion of all religions makes a better India he stated. Justice, equality unity and liberty should be promoted in modern India he suggested. He lashed out at the British rule.
The Indian constitution represents the aspirations of the people he said. He acknowledged the role of Sardar Patel in building India.

Calling the RSS cadre as friends, Pranabda said that the soul of India lies in Pluralism. 133 languages and more than 100 dialects make India he said. One constitution, one flag and one India and that is Bharateeyaam he said. That makes Bharat and 50 years of tolerance with one identity he stated.

Peaceful co-existence, harmony with nature, is essential he said.

We are seeing increased violence and must prevent that in the democratic process he suggested. We must move towards peace harmony he said.

One Nation one India he stated. One must lead a healthy and productive life and that is the basic need for a citizen he suggested. In the happiness report, we are 153 of the 156 he said. The happiness of people is the happiness of the king he suggested.

Economic growth should lead to the real development he suggested. Thank you Jai hind and Bande Mataram he concluded. He came he conquered.

Mohan Bhagwat said that reaching out to all sections of the society was important.
