Today is Kanuma festival and people will take Nonveg on a compulsory basis in the Telugu states. People who do not take non-veg will go for Wada made of Udat dal.
Mutton which was Rs 800 a Kg is now costing around Rs 1000 today. At the same time, the consumption of Chicken has come down drastically in the name of Corona virus and also the Birdflu.
There is no bird flu in Telangana but the people are worried. Some of them have stopped taking eggs also. The Egg and Chicken business is in the slump.
But the Mutton is being sold heavily and there is a lot of demand for the tender mutton. If it is bone less, it is going to cost more. Every one today would like to eat non-veg and also consume liquor.
That is the tradition being observed in the Telugu states and also some southern cities. It is party time today for Sankranthi. The population of goat and sheep has increased in the state, but still we are getting them from other states.
The demand has been rising by the day. Producer Suresh Babu of Suresh productions is also rearing sheep and goat in his agriculture farm. But they are in great demand and only rich people can afford them.
He is supplying cow milk and Ghee also but at a premium only for his close circles.
