Senior NTR’s family, TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu decided to attend the event of NTR coin launch here in Delhi.. NTR’s sons and daughters, and their respective families, including AP BJP chief Daggubati Purandeswari, will be in attendance today at Rashtrapathi Bhavan.
Many celebrities associated with NTR are expected to attend the launch.
The NTR coin has been issued by the Central government to commemorate his centenary birth celebrations. The Rs100 coin has a diameter of 44 mm and is composed of 50 per cent silver, 40 per cent copper, 5 per cent nickel, and 5 per cent zinc.
One side of the coin features three lions and the Ashoka Chakra, while the other side has NTR’s picture with the wording ‘Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Satajayanti’ engraved, in Hindi, below it.
The coin is marked with the years 1923-2023 to signify NTR’s centenary celebrations.
It is great recognition for the senior NTR who was people’s CM and a legendary actor. He was the man who introduced Rs two a kilo rice for the sake of poor people which is still continued by all the political parties.
Earlier a statue of NTR was installed in Delhi . There is a demand that NTR should be given Bharata Ratna.
