Draupadi Murmu the NDA nominee for the post of President of India in the July 18 election, has filed her nomination papers in the presence of PM Narendra Modi.
The NDA’s presidential nominee arrived at the Parliament to file her nomination this morning with PM, Union Ministers and the Chief Ministers.
Murmu paid tributes to the statues of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr BR Ambedkar and Birsa Munda at the Parliament.
Prime Minister Modi arrived at the Parliament ahead of the filing of the nomination by NDA’s Presidential election candidate Murmu.
Several Union Ministers and BJP MPs, including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and BJP Chief Nadda were also present to extend support to the Presidential candidate Murmu as she files her nomination papers for the highest constitutional post.
She reached the national capital from Odisha on Thursday and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh and BJP president JP Nadda.
It looks like the Opposition will not be able to put up a strong competition for the post. The PM was seen in a Jovial mood and was heard saying Thankyou Bhayya to the RS secretariat staff.
