The Second State Legislative Assembly is scheduled to meet on Thursday and pro-tem speaker will chair the first session of the Second State Assembly. Pro-tem speaker will chair the first session of the Second State Assembly. Pro-tem speaker will administer the oath of office to the newly elected members including the nominated member from Anglo-Indian community. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan took oath as the Pro-tem speaker of the Telangana State Legislative Assembly on Wednesday. Hon’ble Governor Sri E.S.L. Narasimhan has administered the oath at a ceremony at Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan. The programme started with the Secretary of Telangana State Legislature reading out the Notification of appointment of Pro-tem Speaker.
After taking the oath, the Pro-tem speaker Sri Mumtaz Ahmed Khan signed the oath form in the presence of the Governor and other dignitaries. Governor Sri E.S.L. Narasimhan, Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao, greeted the Pro-tem speaker with the presentation of bouquets.
