There is no respite to rains in Mumbai. The water clogged roads are creating havoc and the traffic is having a hell of a time. The municipal authorities are unable to take care of the situation. A lot of accidents and some deaths have also been reported on the water clogged road. More rain is expected here in Mumbai. Some flights have been cancelled while some others have been rescheduled.
The trains also were rescheduled and local trains are changing the routes from time to time to avoid the water clogging. The public has been alerted not to use some old bridges in the city.
When it comes to Telangana, most of the districts in the state are getting good rains and someplace above than the average rainfall has been recorded. But in Hyderabad, only the outskirts are experiencing average rain and parts of the city the rains are yet to come. Some parts of Andhra has experienced good amount of rain it is reported. Some of the lakes and canals in the Telugu states are flowing with rainwater and some levels have raised.
The MET has predicted good rains for the South and also the Telugu states. It is like the Monsoon has arrived in the Telugu states and it is yet to intensify in some parts of the state.
The GHMC in Hyderabad under the leadership of K T Rama Rao the municipal minister is taking all the step to clear the rain clogged drains and Garbage is being lifted on war footing basis to avoid seasonal viral fevers. Road encroachments are also being cleared to avoid Traffic snarls and to allow smooth flow of the Traffic.
