Although the launch of the statue would be on the 5th of February, the events started today, the 2nd of February. The celebrations began with Shobha yatra, Vastu Shanti, Ruthvik Varna this morning.
Ankuraarpana, a Vedic ritual would be held before the beginning of the Sri Lakshmi Narayana Yagam, this evening at the Jeeyar Swamy Ashram
At least 5,000 Rhuthviks from across the country would be performing the Yagam in 1,035 homa Gundams at one main and 144 other Yagashala for the well being of the universe.
Cohosted by CM K. Chandrashekar Rao led Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government, the event would have high-level security, special arrangements and other facilities for the next 10 days.
Stephen Ravindra is the in Incharge of security here at the venue of the celebration with about seven thousand police personnel. Black top roads have been laid and a special power generation system has also been arranged by the Government.
