Sanjay Leela Bhansali the director of Black has proved that he is an ace director. The film is an outright Alia Bhatt’s canvas where she delivers a flawless performance showcasing a gamut of emotions and her dancing skills with aplomb.

Alia steals the show on several counts, be it while speaking to her mother over the phone, or headbutting with Raziabai (Vijay Raaz) the eunuch who is standing for the local elections, or flirting with the apprentice tailor Afshan Razak (Shantanu Maheshwari), or dancing during the Navratri celebrations where she delivers complex steps to an intense song in a seamlessly one lengthy shot.

We can say that Junior NTR has done the right thing by selecting Alia for his next film in Telugu. When it comes to Gangubhai it is about a lady who is forced into the flesh trade and later becomes a saviour of that area and the trade.

Alia has done the role with all the ease and all other actors have done well. But music is not that entertaining in this film, Overall it is a movie to watch.
