While the farmers are happy that there is good rain in this season, they are also unhappy that some crops have been lost due to heavy rains. Nalgonda last night recorded about 20 centimetres rain which is a record in the last 119 years.
There was heavy rain Hyderabad overnight and many parts of the city is clogged with the rainwater. The drains are overflowing and the GHMC officials are trying to clear the rainwater. The turmeric farmers are facing trouble due to the heavy rains in the state of Telangana.
Most of the tanks and canals are full up to the brim in the districts of Telangana. There is heavy rain in some districts of Andhra Pradesh. Rayalaseema region is receiving good rains this season.
Some houses are inundated in the water at Godavari districts. The weather report states that there will be heavy rains in the coming two days in the states of Telangana and also Andhra Pradesh.
People in the low lying areas have been advised to shift to other places and also government shelters for the time being. Many of the barrages have received enough rain and gates have been opened for some barrages so that the excess water flows into the sea. Krishna and Godavari rivers are full up to the brim.
