While the first part of Kalki is crossing Rs 500 crore mark, director Nag Ashwin plans to start the second part of the movie. Kamla Hassan said that he has a bigger role in part 2 of the movie and also Vijay Devarakonda.
It has been reported that Vijay Deverakonda will have a more screen presence in the next instalment of Kalki 2898 AD, set for release around the same time next year. According to the producer, about 60% of the shooting for part two has already been completed. As we look forward to seeing how many more records Kalki 2898 AD will break, the audience expects more from the director.
They say he is a challenge to Rajamouli the ace director who is doing a movie with Mahesh Babu. Mahesh has signed a contract for two years with Rajamouli for this movie.
Kamla who had doubts initially over the ability of the director Ashwin is now overconfident. He opined that the first part is just a trailer. The real movie will be in the second part and may be thrid part also.
The base is Mahabharata and it can be weaved into many parts in the future adding sci-fi to the subject. The budget is no issue for Nag Ashwin now. Big guns have already endorsed his way of making films.
