Is the film industry united or it is just commercial having no human values. Some people say it is governed on caste lines. Yesterday they announced there will not shootings and film shows in cinema halls also. Of course they have stopped shootins, but it is reported that the cinema shows are on.
They could close the morning shows only to some extent. It clearly indicates that the film industry is divided and they dont bother about Dasari or any one in the industry. Money is important for them. Dasari Narayana Rao, Bheeshma of Tollywood, expired on Tuesday at 7 pm in Hyderabad. The great man was always with the industry whenever it is in crisis, fought for low budget movies and its survival until last breath.
C. Kalyan, producer, announced that industry will be shut down on Wednesday and theatres will be closed as a mark respect to the great personality. This decision was taken unanimously by MAA and will be in effect both in Telangana and AP. That is Telugu states. But no one took this seriously. The matinees are on it is reported.
But with disrespect to the Legend, Dasari, matinees shows resumed in major places in both states and exhibitors say that they could not face financial burden for the sake of Dasari. Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam, Baahubali and Keshava have started screening from matinee.
This is a utterly shameful act by film industry which should not be done to a man who was responsible for the growth of Telugu film industry in Hyderabad. Some are trying to give this a caste angle , but this is also not right.
The producers of this films should have thought about this ahead before making any commitments. The people who made announcements yesterday should have limited themselves to shootings. But they made tall promises and no one followed them.
