Actor Mohanlal will be seen playing a retired cop in his upcoming film ‘Villain’ which is directed by B.Unnikrishnan.
Said to be a thriller, ‘Villain’ also features Tamil actors Vishal and Hansika in important roles and will mark their debut in Malayalam cinema.
Buzz in the Malayalam film circles is that ‘Villain’ is all set to break the records set by Mohanlal’s earlier film ‘Pulimurugan’ in terms of numbers of screens it would release.
‘Pulimurugan’ was released in more than 130 screens on day 1 of release especially for fans and this record might be broken by ‘Villain’ which is set to be released in about 150 screens.
Villain’ will also mark the debut of popular Tollywood actress Raashi Khanna as well and will be an important role. Mohanlal’s salt and pepper look is now the much talked about look in Mollywood circles.
