Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s wife Jashodaben sustained minor injuries in an accident in Chittorgarh in Rajasthan on Wednesday, 7 February.
One person died in the accident, which occurred on the Kota-Chittor highway on 7 February, reported a TV channel.
The deceased has been identified as Basant Bhai Modi (67), a relative of Jashodaben. Modi succumbed while undergoing treatment, police told reporters.
Four other people travelling with her was also injured, SHO Parsoli Shyam Singh said. The accident reportedly occurred when Jashodaben was on her way to Gujarat along with her family.
