Prime Minister Narendra Modi is unable to forget the tea and its flavor. Modi was interacting from Delhi Vignan Bhavan for CSIR with farmers from across the country on the usage of advantage and technology in the farming sector.
It was the platinum Jubilee of CSIR where the PM was the chief guest. One of the farmers from Rahtok was talking about the cultivation of Tea and the PM asked him about the varieties of Tea. Minister for Science and technology Harshvardhan was also present here.
The farmer said that he was cultivating Tea and trying to get good quantity. PM asked him if he was trying to get any new flavor with permutations and combination. PM said that he knows that Assam gave the Tea to the world by Tea cultivation and asked if there was any way one can give new tea leaf with new flavor to the world.
The farmer said that he would try. The World knows that PM was tea seller in his child hood and he has grown and raised to this level. He is very popular as a chai wala. The opposition leaders chided him as Chai walah but he turned the same to his advantage. He will not forget about Tea and its leaf. Now PM is interested in a new Tea flavor.
PM also heard about the lemon grass and its cultivation. he suggested that the farmers must find out new ways of cultivation where they get good production and that the usage of pesticides and chemicals is minimal.
