Prime Minister Narendra Modi will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Varanasi, the BJP announced.
He is all set to win the Varanasi seat again. With the development that has taken place under the regime of Modi he is going to win handdown this time.
The party announced its first list of 195 candidates for the polls, which includes 34 ministers.
This is the third time PM Modi will be contesting from the Varanasi seat. In 2014, he defeated AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and in 2019, won against Samajwadi Party’s Shalini Yadav.
Last ten years have seen unprecedented development in Varanasi. Realising PM Modi’s mantra of “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi”, the city is transforming into a modern hub while preserving its rich cultural heritage.
Infrastructure development and improved connectivity have revitalised the city. Renovated ghats, Kashi Vishwanath Dham Corridor and recent developments mark significant chapter in its ongoing evolution.
