After Rahul the Congress Chief and his sister Priyanka the AICC General Secretary, now Prime Minister Modi has taken a holy dip at the Kumbh Mela. Modi was seen in black robes when he took the holy dip at the Sangam and then he performed Aarti with Saffron robes and vibhuti on his forehead.He was received by the UP Cm Yogi Adityanath. later he honoured the sanitation workers here who kept the Mela spic and span round the clock. It was a congregation of lakhs of people on daily basis at Sangam, the sanitation workers had a tough time maintaining the ghats clean for the pilgrims coming from across the world.
The PM washed the feet of sanitation workers and honoured them. This kind of gesture was never heard before from a Prime Minister where the PM washed the fee of the common man.The Maha Kumbh Mela will end on March 4. it started in January. This is the mother of all the Melas across the world . Such a big congregation of pilgrims was never seen or heard of anywhere except in UP.
