We hear stories that always politicians paid for Reporters -Editors so on and so forth. The media is being entertained for coverage and mileage.
But Modi our PM during his encounter with scribes never paid for them- yes even for the coffee. Instead, the reporters or the Journalists picked up his bills it is learnt.
PM Modi spent more than 10 minutes at the Coffee House that he frequented as a young politician travelling between Delhi and Himachal Pradesh.
During an earlier visit, Modi had shared that he spent hours at the Coffee House with his journalist friends but “never paid” for the coffee. He remarked that his journalist friends used to pick up the tab.
“Sitting at the Indian Coffee House along with my journalist friends, I used to get an insight into the state’s political developments,” said PM Modi, who was the BJP’s in-charge of Himachal Pradesh from 1994 and 2002.
One best example is that Modi stopped scribes in the PM foreign jaunts. Earlier Manmohan used to take planeloads of Journalists to all the foreign jaunts and entertained them.
But now no space for scribes along with the PM. But he knows how to take mileage from them.
