With senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu being nominated for the post of Vice President, party’s general secretary Ram Madhav is likely to play a prominent role in the affairs of the BJP in the Telugu States.
The BJP, which is looking towards the southern states to improve its tally in the next elections, feel that the party units in both the States will grow if Ram Madhav is given the charge of State affairs in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
It may be mentioned here that apart from the two Telugu states, the BJP is paying attention on Assam, West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Leaders in the party said the BJP general secretary, from now onwards, would be attending the party programmes regularly. Coming from RSS background, Ram Madhav is seen as a good strategist.
There are also rumors that Amit Shah the BJP Presdient would be the next Home Minister and that Ram Madhav could be the National BJP chief.
