Congress party Chief Rahul Gandhi today accused PM Modi as corrupt and demanded that investigation must be done on Modi about the Rafale deal. A local Newspaper in France mentioned that it was match-fixing deal and that it was done by assuring and agreeing to deal with Reliance defence. The contract to sell the Rafales was predetermined and that giving away the contract through Reliance was predetermined and it was recommended by PM Modi without even talking to the Minister here in India.
The cabinet was not consulted on the Rafale deal by the PM Modi he said. Defence Minister Nirmala Seetharmasn visit to France was nothing but a cover for the Rafale deal he said. The investigation must go against Prime Minister Modi who gave away about Rs 30000 crore to Reliance Defence he said. Rahul Gandi demanded a probe against the PM over the Rafale deal.
The Government of India clarified that it has got nothing to do with the Rafale deal. The French defence company also said that Reliance was qualified for the deal.
But the media is digging into the deal and the latest says that the deal was done by putting Reliance in the bracket from the beginning.
