The No confidence motion moved by the opposition against the Modi Government will boomerang on them. Modi will win the No confidence motion and use the parliament as the launching pad for the 2019 election campaign.
He would reel out all the schemes of the government and the development done by the NDA Government. With Shiv Sena supporting Modi for the NCM there is no doubt that Modi would get the support of more than 300 MPs and the required number is 268.
Modi will become more powerful after winning the No confidence motion and he would easily demolish the opposition with his spellbinding speech.
The idea of taking the opposition by surprise and keeping the Government ready to stand for NCM was planned by the BJP Chief Amit Shah. The opposition parties were taken back by surprise as they thought that the Government may agree for the NCM so easily.
It is now becoming for the opposition to gang up at a short notice. The Trinamool MPs are already confused and waiting for the didi to guide them.
All the political parties will get time to talk over the NCM, before it is put for the voting. The effective strength in the parliament is about 535 and the required number is 268 to win the NCM.
Some of the MPs from the opposition camp have said that it was wrong to call for an NCM and it would further strengthen the NDA. It is like giving the BJP government to make a point and score over the opposition.
Chandrababu who wanted the NCM is of the idea that he can put forth the grievances of AP when they talk on the NCM. He knows that they will lose the NCM. But he wants to use the opportunity to highlight the issues of AP.
All said and done it is an advantage for Modi the Prime Minister.
