Expressing dismay over Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central government’s rule, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray said that the PM’s three-and-a-half years’ tenure has been an utter failure.
“I believed in Modi and was first to say he should be the Prime Minister of India. I thought he would steer India to progress but…he showed no results,” Thackeray added.
Calling the Centre’s demonetization drive a failure, Thackeray said the government’s claims of assault on black money were misleading as 99% of the scrapped notes have returned to banks.
He said Centre is good at organizing different events to divert public attention.
Thackeray said, “I had believed in Modi and was first to say he should be the Prime Minister of India.” Impressed with the development in Gujarat, Thackeray said Modi deserved to be India’s Prime Minister in 2011 when the latter was Gujarat’s Chief Minister.
