Modi converting India into a police Raj

Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi criticised that Prime Minister Modi was converting India into a police state. Rahul found fault with the Government for allowing 10 agencies to snoop on the computers of citizens. Arun Jaitley the Finance Minister Yesterday clarified that the orders for looking into the computers was for the safety of the country and that was done according to the old rules and there was nothing new about it.

Rahul called Modi an insecure director and said that converting the country into a police Raj will not solve the issues of the people he stated. Privacy is a fundamental right and the Government cannot snoop into the computers of citizens said Kapil Sibal the Congress leader.

MIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi also found fault with the centre’s decision to invade into the privacy of people by snooping on the computers.

While the Government is defending its act in the name of security and Terrorism, the leaders of political parties are vehemently opposing it.

But Arun Jaitley the Minister explained that the authorisation was done as per the law enacted in 2009 by the UPA Government and it was not new. Several others said that snooping on others computers was nothing but a violation of the Supreme court law and it goes against the freedom of an individual.
