Prime Minister Modi today called on KCR on phone and asked for the support of TRS to elect the dalit leader and Bihar Governor Ramnath Kovind as the next president of India .
It is reported that earlier KCR has suggested the PM to select a Dalit for the post of the President. The PM Modi in his telephonic conversation has mentioned that the selection of the candidate for the post was done as per the suggestion of KCR that he should be a dalit.
The PM also stated that the first call for support was made to the TRS chief after the selection and announcement. It is reported that the TRS will whole heartedly support the Presidential nominee made by the BJP.
After due consultations with the senior leaders in the party, the TRS chief announced that they are for supporting Kovind for the presidents post.
