The BJP seems to be worried about the low turnout of the voters in this election. The first phase witnessed an unsatisfactory turnout of the voters.

“A high voter turnout strengthens our democracy. I especially urge our young voters and women voters to turn out in great numbers. Your vote is your voice!” the prime minister Narendra Modi said on X.

Voting in the second phase of the Lok Sabha polls is underway for 88 seats in 13 states.

The Election Commission has been making all-out efforts to boost the voting percentage after a lower turnout in the first phase on April 19 compared to 2019. There is a talk that the sweltering summer is also stopping the voters from coming to the election booths.

The BJP is expecting a better turnout today as part of the second phase. Both the Congress and also the BJP are confident of getting a good number of seats in the first phase.

The second phase of polling is underway for the 88 seats. Some prominent voters and VIP voters have exercised the franchise early in the morning.
