The Minorities will be treated on par with SCs and also STs in the state of Telangana assured the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He was speaking at the Assembly on a discussion on fee reimbursement scheme.
The CM assured MIM floor leader in the house Akbaruddin Owaisi that orders have already been issued to treat Minorities on par with SCs and STs when it comes to welfare schemes.
KCR also assured the members in the house that the fees reimbursement scheme will continue and there need not be any doubt about it. The students can register for the scholarships and it will be an ongoing process he said. But the colleges with no labs and proper infrastructure will go as per the norms and regulations of the AICTE he pointed out.
The Government is here to protect the interest of the students and provide them with quality education he said. The regular run of the mill syllabus will go and the college students will get curriculum to suit the need of the hour and also make them job worthy he explained.
He said that the Engineering colleges were not up to the mark and the students coming out of them are not job worthy. The colleges must impart good quality education so that the students coming out are job worthy he opined.
He also assured the MIM leaders that quality education would be imparted to the minorities and that free education to the minorities with hostel facilities and other infrastructure was already being provided in the state.
He opined that the BED and DED colleges where in large numbers churning out people and and that they had no jobs in the end. He said that there was no need for so many colleges which were in large numbers. There is no employment potential for the people coming out of these colleges. The education must be implemented in a scientific manner he said.
