The collaborative efforts of the Nodal Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), Women Safety Wing, and Pargi Police of Vikarabad district have resulted in the safe rescue of one 15-year-old minor girl who was kidnapped by one Masti Suresh (21-years) from Pargi town on July 18, 2023.
This rescue operation, marked by meticulous detective work, concluded with the long-awaited reunion of the young girl with her family. The emotional reunion took place on October 7, 2023, in the presence of police (photo enclosed, face of minor blurred).
Facts of the case are that on July 21, 2023, at 14:00 hours, a complaint received from Smt. Nandi Sujatha W/o Gopal, Age: 31, Caste: SC Madiga, Occ: Labour, R/o Ibrahimpur Village, Pargi Mandal, Vikarabad district stating that her daughter is studying Intermediate 1st year at Pargi town. On July 18, 2023, in the morning, as usual her daughter left for college. Until night her daughter had not returned home. They searched for her at all possible places but in vain. Basing on the complaint, the Station House Officer of PS. Pargi, Vikarabad district has registered a case in Crime No. 165/2023 U/Sec. 363 IPC on 21.07.2023 at 14:00 hours and took up investigation.
Subsequently the parents of missing girl Smt. Nandi Sujatha & Gopal approached the Women Safety Wing, on 28.08.2023 and submitted their grievance before the Addl. DGP. The Addl. DGP entrusted the enquiry to Incharge officer of Nodal Anti Human Trafficking Unit, and Cyber Module, WSW, to make efforts and to trace out her daughter.
During the investigation under the supervision of Smt. P.V. Padmaja, I.P.S., Superintendent of Police, Women Safety Wing, the teams of AHTU and Cyber Modules have deployed cutting-edge tools and techniques as part of their investigation. Through the strategic utilization of technological resources, they successfully traced the minor girl and apprehended the accused, Masti Suresh, at Lingaraju Railway Station Area, Bhubaneswar of Odisha State.
We remain steadfast in our commitment by utilizing the latest advancement in technology there by detected the case and rescued the minor girl.
