High tension prevailed in the old city when the MIM workers staged a dharna in front of the BJP MLA Rajasinghs office last night. The issue was pertaining to the standup comedy performed at Shilpa Kala Vedia where Lord Rama and Sita were allegedly abused.
Earlier Raja Singh demanded the DGP that the so-called comedy show should be stopped. The police beefed up the security in front of Raja Singh’s house and arrested him.
A case has been filed against Raja Singh for talking against Prophet Mohammed.
The BJP and the TRS workers are clashing on the streets on the alleged involvement of TRS MLC Kavitha in the liquor scam.
The police have filed cases against the BJP workers for staging a dharna in front of MLC Kavitha’s house. The BJP chief Bandi Sanjay is doing a dharma Deeksha against the partisan attitude of the TRS.
Taking the MIM- TRS worker’s attitude against the BJP into account the police have beefed up the security for Sanjay’s padayatra. Around five hundred police have been deployed at the venue of Bandi Sanjays padayatra and meeting.
Meanwhile, Minister Srinivas Yadav and the Corporators of Hyderabad went to Kavitha and expressed their solidarity. Congress party is also talking against Kavitha and Liquor scam.
