Metlotsavam on April 4

In connection with the celebration of the 521st birth anniversary of the Telugu Padakavitha Pitamaha Sri Thallapaka Annamacharya, the Melotsavam will be held with grandeur under the auspices of the TTD Annamacharya Project on April 4 at Alipiri Pada Mandapam in Tirupati.

Annamacharya project artists and bhajan mandal artists will perform Annamacharya’s “Saptagiri Sankirtana Gosthiganam” from 6 am. After that, Metlapuja will be done. After that the Bhajanaparas climb Tirumala on foot singing Sankeertans.

The Bhajan mandal artistes from all over the state will participate in this program.

As part of Annamacharya’s birth anniversary celebrations, a Goshtiganam and musical program will be held at Narayanagiri Gardens in Tirumala on April 5.

For three days from April 6 to 8, literary seminars will be organized at Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati, Dhyanamandiram in Tallapaka and spiritual and devotional music programs at the 108 feet Annamayya statue in the saint poet’s native place.

In view of Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam in Srivari Temple on Tuesday in connection with Telugu Ugadi on April 9, TTD has cancelled VIP break on April 2.

TTD appealed to the devotees to note this and co-operate with TTD.
