Meri Maata Meri Desh

Governor of Telangana, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, actively participated in the State-level celebration of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh Program” at Raj Bhavan .

This event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Telangana, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

The program witnessed the enthusiastic participation of numerous youths and volunteers from NYKS who collected soils from various regions across the state and brought them to Raj Bhavan.

This remarkable effort reflects the strong commitment of our youth to our nation.

During her address at the event, Hon’ble Governor emphasized the significance of the soil and the contributions of national freedom fighters. She paid tribute to iconic figures like Iron Man Sardar Patel and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Dr. Soundararajan expressed that Hyderabad’s place within the nation is owed in large part to the vision and leadership of Sardar Patel.

She also urged the youth of our country to study and honor the legacy of our freedom fighters and our rich historical heritage.

The event was graced by the presence of notable individuals, including Ravideep Singh Sahi, ADG, South Zone CRPF, Ms. Charu Sinha, IG, Southern Sector CRPF, Uday Bhaskar, DIGP, Group Centre, CRPF, Mahipal Singh Sekhavat, Commandant, A.R. Vijaya Rao (State Director NYKS), Smt. Khushboo Gupta, District Youth Officer, NYKS, as well as various other police personnel and dedicated volunteers from NYKS.
