Is Chandrababu trying to balance the equalition in the Kapu community. Is he trying to use the mass leader Chiranjeevi to balance others? If the rumors are to be believed about the mega star joining the TDP in the near future it looks correct.
There are sources which said that Ghanta Srinivas who is close to the mega star is behind this negotiations and that he had convinced the star to join and strengthen the hands of Chandrababu in developing the state.
Nothing can be ruled out in politics especially with Chiranjeevi. We have seen some of the best ‘Self Goals’ ever in the history of Telugu Politics coming from Chiranjeevi . Starting PRP was blunder.
It may be recalled that Chiranjeevi has indicated in his speech at Saraiynodu function that the would like to shift to Visakhapatnam and settle there and all he wants is land for his house. Now there are rumours about Chiranjeevi joining Telugu Desam Party very soon. There is no official confirmation about this news anywhere as yet.
Chiranjeevi at 60 can do films for some more time, but as a politician he can continue till his life time. The congress party is in shambles and there are no indications that it will improve in the Telugu states.
Chiranjeevi had almost lost hopes in politics after his merging with Congress. Accepting a Rajya Sabha seat itself indicates that he is not game for electoral politics going forward. Even the supporters of the actor believe that it is tough for him to contest elections directly and win. For that reason, Chiranjeevi did not shift to other parties, even though Congress is almost dead and sees no chance of revival in the near future.
Chiranjeevi also, started shooting of his 150th film and as well announced that he is going to do continue in films. All these indications give a feeling, that he will only continue in politics until his Rajya Sabha term is over and may consider another such nominated position. Even in case, Congress cannot accommodate him further.
With this it would be very wise from him to join the, TDP and get some better position. His brother Pawan Kalyan is already supporter of BJP and TDP.
