Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao has taken a decision to take the Editors, Bureau Chiefs of print and electronic media to visit kaleshwaram project. Kaleshwaram has become world’s biggest multistage lift irrigation project and created a record. Through this project pranahita river waters lifting has also commenced and came into operation.
Though there is no single drop of water available at the main Godavari river, the waters coming from pranahita river is being lifted through Medigadda barrage. Similarly at sundilla, annaram barrages also water is getting filled. By lifting the water from pranahita at Godavari river presently to the extent of 115 kilometres water has been covered.
At medigadda, annaram, sundilla barrages as of now 20 TMCs water is available. Keeping in view of this present situation CM KCR has decided to take nearly 300 media representatives to visit kaleshwaram project. In this context CM KCR has discussed in detail with the public relations officials at Pragathi bhavan on Saturday.
Editors and Bureau Chiefs will be taken by three special helicopters and other media representatives will be taken by special buses to visit the barrages,Pump houses and other.
Media representatives leaving by bus will travel for 2 days and media heads travelling by helicopter will travel for one day as per the proposed plan. Depending on the climatic condition at the end of this month or in the first week of August the tour is scheduled.
