Arvind Kumar, IAS., Principal Secy MAUD has conducted a review meeting with the officials of GHMC, HRDCL, SNDP, NHAI and HMWSSB on the Developmental issues in Amberpet Assembly Constituency today, i.e., on 26th May 2021. The meeting was attended by Sri Kaleru Venkatesh, MLA.
The Principal Secretary instructed the officials to expedite the tenders relating to the construction of retaining wall to Hussain Sagar surplus Nala at Fever Hospital and to see that the work is commenced by 1st week of June. Similarly, the officials were asked to come up with solutions to increase the outflow of surplus waters in Mohinikunta Cheruvu so that the inundation of abutting Patel Nagar and other colonies is minimized.
Regarding flyover works at 6 No. Chowrasta, the officials informed that compensation has been paid to 281 property holders and GHMC deposited Rs.9.00 Crores with NHAI for utility shifting. The Principal Secretary asked NHAI officials to commence the work at the possible earliest.
The Principal Secretary instructed the officials to take up junction improvement works at Ali Café Junction, Shivam Road junction, Nallakunta Fever Hospital junction, Barkatpura junction, Kachiguda junction and YMCA junction. EE and ACP were asked to make a joint inspection and finalise the designs. They were asked to take up the works, where the site is already cleared.
Similarly, GHMC has been instructed to liaise with the Govt of India officials to take up Road Widening Work opposite Sai Baba temple in Shivam Road.
The Principal Secretary asked the officials to identify the Bus Shelter, which are having ‘ Bus bays’ to develop them into AC Bus Shelters. The Principal Secretary instructed the officials to improve amenities in the major Parks by providing proper walking tracks, arrangement of LED lighting, repair of compound walls, arrangement of Public Toilets, etc.,
The Principal Secretary informed the MLA that a missing link road from Ali Café Chowrasta to Patel Nagar that would result in decongestion of ramanthapur road. It is also informed that a proposal to replace the existing Musarambag cause-way on Musi River with a new bridge is under active consideration of the Government.
The Principal Secretary instructed the Water Board officials to address the issues of low pressure issues and submit necessary proposals for replacement of pipelines to Government.
The Principal Secretary assured the MLA Amberpet that he will take up the issues of graveyard with the Revenue Department and Irrigation Nala with HMWSSB and resolve them. He also assured that he will take up with the police department regarding utilization of abandoned Narayanguda Old PS location for beautification
The Principal Secretary instructed all the officials to make definite progress on all these aspects and he will review the same in the third week of June 2021 again.
