The CRI (Conference of Religious India, Telangana Region), presented 20,000 masks to Sri Etela Rajender the honourable minister for health, Government of Telangana, in the presence of Sri B Venkateshwarlu MLC, Chief WHIP, Government of Telangana, and Sri G. Ranjith Reddy M.P., represented by its president, Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar with the Executive body members of CRI, Fr Stanislaus, Sr Alphonsa, Sr Suman, Fr Sudhakar, along with Mr Gopu Bala Reddy – President of Telangana Catholic Association and Sr Pushpa Leela. These masks were made by many sisters in their convents and orphans at skill training centres.
The CRI is part of the Catholic Church, comprising of brothers, priests and nuns who offer servicesin key areas of health care, education and social service through numerous institutions such as, hospitals, dispensaries, schools, colleges, universities, social work centres, etc. The CRI is actively involved in Covid-19 relief work all across Telangana, providing food, dry ration, health and hygiene kits, masks, etc., to the poor, the migrants, tribals, the street chidlren, orphans and the daily wage workers.
So far the CRI has distributed: 37,080 + 20,000 – masks; 23,080 – sanitizers; provided food for 1,15,674 persons, distributed ration and hygiene kits to 35,542 families.
