Minister for Finance Harish Rao today said that the marriage is the foundation for the family system in the society. He was the chief guest at the function where 165 couples have got married at a time.
This kind of group marriages was being conducted since 2012. They were conducted at the Nagarkurnool ZP maidan here where MJR trust has performed the marriages here.
All the 165 marriages were done in a single muharat. MLA Marri Janardhan Reddy assured that all the 165 pairs who got married at the same muhurat will get the Kalyanalaxmi benefit.
Harish said that KCR knows the difficulties in getting the marriages done and that was the reason he started this Kalyana Laxmi Scheme for the benefit of the poor people. The Finance Minister also added that for a good cause the Gods blessing will always be there.
He blessed all the couples that they must prosper in a big way. The local lawmakers along with Medak MP also participated in this group marriages event.
