People are announcing films with Sandeep Vanga the Arjun Reddy director left and right. Earlier there was a talk about Vanga working with Mahesh Babu. Now there are talks that Vanga is in talks with Ramcharan for his next movie. The other day Vanga was with Charan at the success party of Rangasthalam at his house.
No doubt Vanga has joined the big league of directors. He has made good money by selling the rights of Arjun Reddy movie in various languages. He is financially sound now. What next is the real story? After Arjun Reddy, the hero Vijay Devarakonda gave a dud and now his career and charisma are on a test. He has to prove himself.
In the same fashion Vangas, real ability is on the test. If the next movie does not become a hit at the box office then people will definitely write off Vanga also like Addala of Srimalle chettu. There are some directors whose first movies will be great hits and then they cannot really prove themselves and get bogged down.
Directors will also have highs and lows like Heroes. Take the case of Puri and RGV, they are unable to deliver now. Raghavendra Rao also has lost his Midas touch. Now we have to wait and see if Vanga will deliver a good hit for Prince Mahesh with the title Mechanic. Mahesh is also looking for a different kind of image for him and not the regular milk boy stuff it is learnt.
