Mamata welcomes Supreme Court decision

The Supreme Court today has decided that the Kolkata Police chief Kumar must cooperate with the CBI in the investigation pertaining to the Sarada scam. Mamata Banerjee the CM of West Bengal who sat on a sit-in against the Central Government partisan attitude welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court. Mamata was opposing the CBI act of swooping on the police chiefs house.The BJP questioned as to why Mamata was trying to protect the police chief if had nothing to hide regarding the scam. The Supreme court in its order said that the police officer Kumar cannot be arrested but he should cooperate with the CBI for an investigation into the said scam.

The CM Mamata was on a dharna since February 3. The dharna is going on with the Tag save the constitution. Mamata said that both Modi and Shah were working against the democratic norms and going against the constitution.

Mamata added that Kumar was ready for investigation and taking questions from the CBI. But they wanted to arrest him even without giving notice and proper reasons she said. On the other hand, the AP CM Chandrababu and Delhi CM Aravind Kejriwal are expected to visit Mamata expressing solidarity her. They have already opposed the attitude of the centre.
