Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekhar Rao has instructed the officials to coordinate with the departments concerned and ensure that devotees visiting Medaram Jathra are not put to any inconvenience and make the Jathra successful.
He said two helicopters would be made available in Hyderabad for the Chief Secretary, DGP and other senior officials to visit Medaram to review the arrangements from February 5 to 9.
Ministers and other people’s representatives have given Invitation for the Medaram Jathra to be held next month to the Chief Minister here on Sunday morning at Pragati Bhavan.
Ministers Ms Satyavathi Rathod, Sri Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Sri A Indrakaran Reddy, MP Ms Maloth Kavitha met the CM and invited him for the Medaram Jathra. Later, the CM held a review meeting about the Jathra arrangments with the ministers and Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar.
“Lakhs of devotees visit Medaram Jathra not only from the state but also from the neighbouring states. There should not be any negligence with regard to supply of the drinking water and sanitation. Plan a proper strategy for the Queue lines, smooth flow of the traffic.
Depute IAS and IPS officers who earlier worked in Warangal district and who had the experience of organising the Medaram Jathra in the past. All departments should be on high alert. Work with coordination and make the Jathra a grand success,” the CM said
