Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Minister for Home appealed people to adopt strict social isolation to flatten the curve of the corona virus spread, on Tuesday in his statement.

In a press statement, Sri Mahmood Ali expressed displeasure over unnecessary travels adding that in these critical times, every small effort on our part will leave a big impact.

The Home Minister asked people to follow government advisories about lockdown as reports of lockdown violation are on the rise.

Telangana’s total tally of coronavirus cases reached 350-mark and 45 people have been recovered and discharged from hospitals. Telangana Government is making relentless efforts to break the COVID-19 chain which is impossible without public cooperation, Home Minister said.

To contain the spread of COVID-19, Chief Minister Sri.K. Chandrashekhar Rao has been making necessary arrangements since the first case of COVID-19 was reported. Considering migrant workers as partners in Telangana’s development the Chief Minister is providing them food, ration, water and medicines, Home Minister added.

He further stated that over 1400 vehicles were seized in past 15 days under three Commissionerates for lockdown violation. Motorists are barred from venturing beyond 3 km from his/ her residence. The vehicles found beyond the stipulated 3-km distance from residence, even for purchasing groceries, will be seized.
