Telangana speaker Madhusudana Chary and Minister for legislative affairs Harish Rao today said that they have lot of respect for LOP Jana Reddy. They explained that while the congress got 7.5 hours to talk, the TRS ruling party with maximum members got only 6.5 hours.
They said that yesterday deputy speaker Padma Devendar Reddy did give the LOP 5 times to talk and also said that the discussion would continue. Minister Harish appealed to the members of the congress that they should not cast aspersions against the chair for no reason.
LOP Jana Reddy accepted the explanation given by the speaker and said that they would forget about the issue and continue to cooperate with him in the house for a fruitful discussion. Harish also added that in the AP the LOP was not even getting the mike and here the opposition even though with less number of members was getting more time than the ruling TRS. Harish said that the idea was to give enough time to all the members for a good discussion over the issues in the state he said. We will give time definitely to all the members he promised.
He named the members of the congress who were given opportunity yesterday. There is no question of stopping the opposition at any point of time he pointed out. At the same time he suggested that the speaker should not be pressurized at any point of time . The chair should be expected and the decision should be accepted by the members he said.
The congress members and the LOP were satisfied with the answer from the speaker and also the Minister in the house.In fact Harish Rao pleaded with folded hands calling Aruna the congress members as akka and suggested they must not stall the irrigation projects in Mahabubnagar .
Janareddy and other members of the congress were in fact gearing up to meet the speaker in his chambers over the attitude of deputy Speaker Padma Devendar Reddys attitude. They are of the opinion that she was not giving them enough opportunity and was not treating the LOP properly.
